Place & Story: Reading and Discussion Series, hosted by Kelly McMasters, Assistant Professor of English + Director of Publishing Studies, in collaboration with Hofstra University and sponsored by Humanities NY and The Hofstra Cultural Center.

Mill Town will be featured in “Place & Story," a series of readings and discussions that explore the ways in which humans and the natural world co-exist within the context of American environmental myths past and present. Through a combination of fiction and memoir, we’ll consider the ways our relationship to landscape transcends borders, politics, race, and socio-economics--and the ways in which it brings inequities into sharp relief.
