Chris Fink teaches courses in creative writing, literature, environmental journalism and nature writing, and is the editor of the Beloit Fiction Journal. At Beloit, he directs the Mackey program, which brings a high-profile writer to campus each year to offer inspiring workshops. In the summers, he teaches an ENVS Capstone called “Writing Wilderness” in the boundary waters canoe area, where he helps students write about their wild selves. Fink has published two books of fiction: Farmer’s Almanac (2013) and Add This to the List of Things That You Are (2019). Besides fiction, he also writes and produces monthly radio essays for Northern Public Radio about the intersection of the self and the natural world.
