In conjunction with the Montana Book Festival, I’ll be in conversation Metis author and bookseller, Chris La Tray and Visiting Assistant Professor of History at University of Montana, Leif Fredrickson.

Chris is an enrolled Member of Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa Indians and his book, Becoming Little Shell (Milkweed Editions) will be out in Spring 2022.

Leif is an environmental historian, writer, and policy analyst. He is currently writing a book on the history of lead poisoning in Baltimore and the nation. He has also contributed to or led analyses of federal environmental policy, with a special focus on the workings of the Environmental Protection Agency.
