I’ll be talking to Kelly McMaster’s “Writing the Environment” class at Hofstra University.
Kelly McMasters is a Fulbright Specialist, former bookshop owner, and an author and essayist. She is the author of the forthcoming The Ghosts in the Hills: A Memoir-in-Essays (WW Norton, 2022) and co-editor of the forthcoming Wanting: Women Writing About Desire (Catapult, 2023). Her other books include, Welcome to Shirley: A Memoir from an Atomic Town and the anthology,,This Is the Place: Women Writing About Home (Seal Press, 2017). She holds a BA from Vassar College and an MFA in nonfiction writing from Columbia's School of the Arts. She is currently an Assistant Professor of English and Director of Publishing Studies at Hofstra University in NY, where she teaches in the undergraduate and MFA in Creative Writing programs.
